Why We Rehabilitate Gorillas
GRACE Center for Rescued Gorillas
The Fossey Fund cares for many young orphaned gorillas rescued from poachers or armed conflict, with the goal of one day returning them to the wild. Raising the gorillas for release will provide genetic diversity critical for a healthy species. Our facility is a haven for up to 30 rescued gorillas, where they can live in a group similar to those in the wild.
