Juan Carlos Bonilla, MBA
Juan Carlos Bonilla oversees Fossey Fund conservation, education and health initiatives in Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. He has extensive experience leading conservation and development programs. He led Conservation International’s (CI) ecotourism program in his native Guatemala and helped develop tourism policy and plans for projects in Guatemala, Southern Africa, and Madagascar. Later he became managing director of CI’s Africa and Madagascar Division and established its Central Africa program, where he served as its first senior director. He later founded a private consulting practice, whose clients included the Fossey Fund.
Juan Carlos has a Master of Business Administration degree from the Edinburgh Business School and has completed a Master of Science degree in organizational research from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis (UNSA) in France. He is currently completing a Ph.D. in management from UNSA and a Doctor in Business Administration degree at the International University of Monaco."
