Tara Stoinski, Ph.D.

Tara Stoinski researches primate cognition, social behavior and reproductive strategies. Dr. Stoinski is based in Atlanta, where she also works as manager of conservation partnerships at Zoo Atlanta, and is adjunct faculty in the psychology departments of Emory University, Georgia State University, and the Georgia Institute of Technology.

She is a member of the Ape Taxon Advisory Group and Gorilla Species Survival Plan of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums; the IUCN Primate Specialist Group’s Section for Great Apes; and the American and International Primatological Societies. She received graduate degrees from Oxford University and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
