Nina M. Mallard

Nina Mallard oversees the financial and administrative functions in the Atlanta headquarters and serves as a liaison with the Africa field offices in Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

In 2007, Mallard became the Fossey Fund’s first full time finance manager.  She administers human resources, risk management and financial matters for the organization in the United States and reports to the CEO and the Finance Committee on the organization’s finances and administration.  In addition, she provides assistance to the field offices.  She has more than 15 years experience working with not-for-profit and governmental organizations.

Mallard earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. Her association with the Fossey fund began in 1995 when the organization relocated to Atlanta, where she was employed by Zoo Atlanta as their finance manager and was assigned to help the Fossey Fund.
