Saving Gorillas One Doll at a Time

Indy Plush, makers of eco-friendly dolls and clothing based in Los Angeles, has created a unique partnership with the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International.

The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund is dedicated to the conservation and protection of gorillas and their habitats by promoting continued research on gorillas and their threatened ecosystems through education and careful collaboration with African governments.

Indy Plush has created a unique collection of eco-friendly plush dolls and clothing that will help the Fossey Fund carry out this mission. Every time a doll, T-shirt or zip-hoodie is sold, Indy Plush will give a 20 percent donation to the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. Each doll carries a tag that describes the type of gorilla depicted and how many are left in the wild. Each tag also informs the consumer that the dolls are certified “green,” made from fabrics sourced in the USA and filled with fibers made from 100 percent recycled plastic water bottles.

Indy Plush gorilla dolls are now available at www.gorillafund.org/shop; selected boutiques throughout the continental U.S.; Whole Foods’ Whole Body departments in northern California and Oregon; the Indy Plush show room in Marina Del Rey, California; and at www.indyplush.com.
